Liz Helmore
Founder, Director of Operations
Australian-born Liz first experienced the beauty of Spain on a hiking trip to the Picos de Europa in 1993. She moved to Spain two years later and her enthusiasm for discovering the country’s hidden gems has not waned. With more than 12 years of experience leading, designing and operating tours throughout Iberia, Liz is responsible for creating our itineraries and handling the administration of bookings. Her vast tourism experience, attention to detail and problem-solving skills ensure that your Nativa Travel vacation is a memorable one.

Luis Renes
Founder, Sales & Marketing Director
Born in Burgos, where the Camino de Santiago passed by his front door, Luis is passionate about Spanish history, culture and cuisine. An MBA graduate and former Sales & Marketing executive, he is also an avid hiker who prefers leading trips to the confines of an office. Luis spends plenty of time in the field, keeping in touch with Nativa Tours suppliers and staying abreast of changes. Whether he’s guiding you through your menu – or along the trail – Luis’ sense of humour and familiarity with his native culture will add a new dimension to your trip.

Vicki Ward
Director of North American Sales
Rounding out this international team, Vicki lives on an island in the Pacific Northwest when she’s not traveling to her beloved Spain where she also lived for 5 years.  After 18 years in the travel business, Vicki knows her clients well and can help with suggestions on the best little restaurant or boutique hotel anywhere on the Iberian Peninsula.  Whether it’s a trip for a pair of honeymooners or a group hike across Spain, she is known for attending to every detail.
